To participate in the Shred Your Credit Card competition, you must produce and submit a video between December 15, 2010 and January 28th, 2011 (the “Period of Eligibility”). By submitting a video you warrant that you are the exclusive owner of any and all copyrights associated with the submitted video and furthermore, by submitting the video you are transferring any and all ownership of said rights both implied and expressed to PerkStreet Financial(SM). All content submitted shall become the property of PerkStreet Financial(SM), Inc. To submit a video, you must complete an online entry form and submit a video at www.shredyourcreditcard.com. Each person may cast a single vote per day during the Period of Eligibility.
One (1) GRAND PRIZE of a $1000 Visa® Gift Card will be selected and awarded on January 31, 2011 to the submission that receives the most votes during the entire Period of Eligibility.
One (1) weekly prize of a $50 Visa Gift Card will be selected and awarded each Wednesday beginning on December 22, 2010 and continuing through the duration of the Period of Eligibility to the submission that receives the most votes during the course of the preceding seven day period. Each submitted video is only eligible to win one of the six weekly prizes.
Two (2) Most Creative Shred Awards totaling $600 in Visa Gift Cards be awarded on January 31, 2011 to the two submissions that are deemed to be the most unique, effective and edifying credit card destructions as determined by PerkStreet and The Lending Club.
At least $125 and up to a maximum of $300 in Editorial Consolation Prizes paid in the form of Visa Gift Cards will be awarded on January 31, 2011 to submissions selected by personal finance bloggers selected by PerkStreet and The Lending Club. Editorial Consolation Prizes will be awarded by the respective personal finance bloggers based on their determination of which submissions are the most deserving and will be selected for the submissions attributed to the respective blog by the person submitting the video at the time of submission.
All winners will be announced on the official Shred Your Credit Card website at http://www.shredyourcreditcard.com.
All gift cards will be mailed to the address supplied in the entry form within fourteen (14) business days of the award being announced. Submissions that contain personally identifiable, unique credit card information or illegal or explicit material will be deemed ineligible.

All decisions regarding the Shred Your Credit Card competition are made at PerkStreet’s sole discretion and all decisions are final. Eligibility: Contest is open to all legal U.S. residents who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, officers, OR directors of PerkStreet and LendingClub and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, advertising and promotion agencies, and members of the immediate families of each are not eligible. Void where prohibited. Contest is subject to all local, state and federal laws and regulations. By entering this Contest, all entrants agree to fully comply with and be bound by these rules and the decisions of PerkStreet and to fully comply with all federal, state and local laws and regulations.
Conditions of Entry: Neither PerkStreet nor LendingClub, nor either of its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, advertising and promotion agencies, nor any telephone network or internet service provider are responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software, inability to access any Web site or online service, or any other error or malfunction, or late, lost, misdirected or illegible entries.
No prize transfer or prize substitution, except by Sponsor, who reserves the right to award a prize of equal or greater value due to prize unavailability for any reason. Taxes not specifically indicated in these Official Rules are the sole responsibility of a winner.
Odds Of Winning: The odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received during the Term.
Consent to use Winner’s Information: Acceptance of a prize constitutes a winner’s consent to the use of his/her voice, name, likeness, biographical information and/or photograph by Sponsor for promotional or advertising purposes in connection with the Constest.
Release and Limitation of Liability: By entering, participants release and hold harmless PerkStreet and LendingClub and each of their agencies, and their respective parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and related entities from any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses to persons and property that may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, acceptance or use/misuse of the prize from or arising out of participation in this Contest or any Contest-related activity. PerkStreet and LendingClub and each of their agencies assume no responsibility or liability for (1) any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries; (2) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest; (3) any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by PerkStreet on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation in this Contest or downloading any materials in this Contest; (4) technical or human error which may occur in the processing of entries; or (5) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Contest or receipt or use or misuse of any prize. PerkStreet’s computer is the official clock for determining time of receipt of entries and judging periods.
If for any reason this Contest is not capable of running as planned due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest, PerkStreet reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry or voting process (and/or to take legal action against such individual so as to protect its rights), and/or to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. In such event, PerkStreet will award the prize in a random drawing comprised of all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (as appropriate) the action taken by PerkStreet and all eligible entries received by PerkStreet in its sole discretion to be fair, appropriate and consistent with the spirit of these rules. Notice of such action will be posted on http://www.shredyourcreditcard.com.
PerkStreet and LendingClub and each of their agencies have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guaranty, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relating to the prize (or any component of a prize) including but not limited to its quality, merchantability or fitness for the intended purpose; the only warranties being those of the relevant product manufacturer/service provider.
In the event of a dispute over the identity of an online entrant, entry will be deemed submitted by the “Authorized Account Holder” of the email account associated with the email account provided. Authorized Account Holder means the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
